De Graafschap preview
By: j | October 3rd, 2008Following Liverpool’s complete 3-1 domination over PSV in the Champions League, the club will need to a quick reply against De Graafschap to silence detractors. Combined with losses to Liverpool, Atlético Madrid and AZ as well as barely squeezing by Sparta Rotterdam and Volendam, De Herdgang is shaken.
Heading into their third match in eight days, De Graafschap will be a tough test for PSV. Ibrahim Afellay, Jérémie Bréchet and Edison Méndez are all doubtful to further complicate the situation. De Graafschap is suffering its own identities issues, playing good solid Football at home but being outclassed on the road. While the home advantage of Philipsstadion could weigh heavy, Hubb Stevens will need to employ a steady hand tactically as confidence is far from strong.
I will report on the match as it concludes.
