De Graafschap v PSV match preview
By: j | January 31st, 2009Following last weekends draw to NAC Breda, Hubb Stevens resigned as PSV manager leading to Dwight Lodeweges to assume the duties of resurrecting the defending champions floundering season. Now fifth in the table, a stunning fifteen points off the pace of AZ, they face relegation threatened De Graafschap in dire need of a victory.
The new manager said prior to the match:
“We’re making a fresh new start and must be fresh in mind when the action gets underway on Sunday.
“We are not going to make drastic changes. There is only one thing that matters: win Sunday’s match. Cocu was on the training pitch on Friday morning and issued a number of tactical instructions. He has gained valuable experience and is able to clearly put across his message to the players. I would love to add him to the coaching staff.”
The only notable change in the lineup is Stijn Wuytens is unlikely due to a minor injury.
