Johan Cruijff Schaal - Dutch Super Cup update

By: j | August 23rd, 2008

Further to my original report, I felt it important to note that Hubb Stevens, in his morning press conference, emphasized that a “trophy is at stake” and gave every indication that PSV will be going one-hundred per-cent in the match and definitely not treating it as a friendly. PSV comes in with a full squad, albeit a tired one, coming back from international duty this week and a litany of injuries. Feyenoord manager Gert-Jan Verbeek has been dealing his massive injuries problems this pre-season and it is unclear the tactics he’ll employ.

I will provide a full review following the match which starts in a little over two hours.
