PSV at the Olympics

By: j | July 13th, 2008

The Netherlands Olympic squad will proudly have a strong PSV component. We have four players that have been added to the thirty-six man provisional squad, including a trio of stylish attacking Midfielders, each brilliant is his own artistry, Ismail Aissati, Otman Bakkal, Nordin Amrabat and workhorse central Defender Dirk Marcellis.

It is expected Olympic Coach Foppe de Haan will reduce to twenty-two players before next Tuesday as they report to training camp on July 20th before meeting Belgium, who have also qualified for the Olympics, in a friendly on the 23rd. The squad will then leave on the 26th for the ING tournament in Hong Kong as a fine tune-up.

I will be posting updates on the progress of our tremendous group of players, in addition to their general bios but just wanted everyone aware of their participation in the Olympics and to wish them the best of fortune as they represent the Netherlands.
